Meet Pilar Tria

Pilar has spent 14 years working in retirement living, building an understanding of what residents need and what makes a community feel like home.

With a background in village management and retirement living sales, she has supported many residents navigate the process from start to finish, always focused on finding the outcome that best suits them.

Pilar values the relationships she builds with residents, getting to know them, supporting them through the transition, and being a familiar face they can rely on at Rowethorpe.

The volunteers who keep the Junibug rolling

Most days of the week, a small buggy called the Junibug makes its rounds across Rowethorpe, carrying residents, retirement living customers, staff and visitors to the cafe, the chemist, or wherever else they need to get to.

The Junibug runs on volunteers, a roster of drivers who each take a shift so that between them, the buggy is out and about most days of the week. Margaret, a former financial counsellor, and Jean, a former primary school teacher, are two of them, driving their Thursday morning shift together. Both are residents of Rowethorpe themselves, part of a wider roster of locals who know the village and its people just as well as they do.
