All About In-Home Care
Why Home Care?
Asking for extra help to manage at home can be difficult, but it’s more common than you think. Each day, we assist hundreds of people with everyday tasks like showering, housework, shopping and more.
What is Home Care?
Home Care with Juniper helps you or your loved one better manage at home and live a fulfilling life. Enjoy time doing the things you want to do, without having to worry about the day-to-day.
Types of Home Care
Depending on your preferences and eligibility, Home Care in WA is available in two forms:
Commonwealth Home Support Program
The Commonwealth Home Support Program (CHSP) provides entry-level support services to ageing Australians to assist them to stay independent and in their own homes and community.
Home Care Packages
The Home Care Packages provide greater levels of care and support services, with four different levels of government subsidised care and supports available to meet your assessed needs.
Both of these types of In-Home Care have services available including cleaning, housework, showering and getting dressed, transport and outings as well as health services such as nursing, physiotherapy, podiatry, occupational therapy, respite and group activities.

Eligibility and Access
To receive subsidised Home Care in Perth or regional WA, you will need to contact My Aged Care to schedule an assessment. The Aged Care Assessment will determine your eligibility and helps identify the types of care and services you require.
Once you have been assessed and have received your approval, Juniper can help you set up care and support services with a simple and easy phone call or visit to discuss your needs.

What Costs are Involved?
Entry-level CHSP services are subsidised* by the Australian Government, which reduces the amount you will be asked to contribute towards your services.
Home Care Packages are allocated at different levels depending on your assessed needs and the services required. The Government’s maximum contribution changes each year and the amount you receive depends on your Aged Care Assessment.
