Meet The Residential Manager

Julie Christensen

Julie has been an advocate for regional aged care services for many years and brings a wealth of experience to Juniper Bethshan and Juniper Waratah. Julie started as an Enrolled Nurse and considers herself to be an evolutionary manager, having transitioned into many roles across her career.

Initially with the Health Department for 17 years, Julie held a CEO role with a regional aged care provider for close to 20 years. Julie has a passion for dementia and strongly supports Juniper’s person-centred care philosophy.

Julie has worked in the southern Wheatbelt for many years and has embraced the sister management role between Wagin (Waratah) and Katanning (Bethshan). Julie looks forward, with her team, continuing to provide a home away from home for residents where they feel valued and respected.

Meet The Residential Service Lead

Pauline Alexander

Pauline has worked in aged care for the past seven years, bringing a background in hospitality management and finance to her role at Juniper Waratah in Wagin. Pauline started as Admin Officer, and when Juniper acquired Waratah in 2023, she stepped into the role of Residential Service Lead.

Pauline considers the strength of Waratah to lie in her team, who work closely together, encourage one another and take great pride in the high quality care they provide residents. She values the homely, country feel of the facility, which she believes creates a relaxing and inviting environment for residents.

Outside of work, Pauline enjoys spending time with family, gardening and travelling.
