Cupcakes and catch ups were all the go for R U OK? Day events across Juniper sites this year.
Whether it was a morning tea or an afternoon tea, many Juniper staff were decked out in yellow attire to recognise the annual day that encourages everyone to connect and ask each other “Are you okay?”.
Among the Juniper sites that got together to share some tasty eats were Juniper Hilltop in Bentley and Juniper Carramar in Morley.
After enjoying a R U OK? themed cupcake, staff at Juniper Central took part in the ‘Wall of Support’ activity.
Juniper Health and Wellbeing Advisor Laura Buckley said the activity was an opportunity for staff to write down something that they did for themselves when things weren’t okay.
“It’s a way for staff to help inspire and encourage each other to try out different tactics and create that supportive environment,” she said.
The activity prompted loads of great suggestions including: Head to the Beach and Listen to the Waves, Call a Friend, Hang Out With My Dog, Go for a Walk, Write Down Things I am Grateful For, Dance and Sing, and Meditation.
