The sound of Peruvian music filled the air at Juniper Riverslea during a recent visit by the Wayra Peruvian Rhythms group.
Talented performers from the group received lots of rousing applause from residents and staff during the 75-minute show.
As well as clapping, dancing, and tapping along to the infectious beats, residents received fascinating insights into Peruvian culture from group members.
The visit came about following a suggestion from a Juniper Riverslea resident who was interested to enjoy a Latin dance performance that celebrated her own background.
After the show, the performers chatted with residents and staff and posed for photos.
A non-profit organisation, Wayra Peruvian Rhythms formed recently to share its love of Peruvian folk dancing and the richness of Peruvian culture with Australia.
