For many Western Australians, footy is about much more than what happens on the field. It’s the team you’ve followed for decades, the games watched with family and the memories and traditions passed from one generation to the next.
That sense of connection is at the heart of Juniper’s partnership with the 2026 WAFL Grand Final at Optus Stadium.
Juniper is committed to helping older Western Australians stay connected to the people, passions and places they love, and footy is a passion that brings families and generations together right across the state.
Through the partnership, Juniper will give Western Australians the chance to be part of the WAFL Grand Final, while also creating a memorable experience for some of our own customers and their loved ones.
Juniper CEO Russell Bricknell said the partnership was a natural fit for Juniper.
“For many Western Australians, footy is part of who they are. It connects families, generations and communities.”
Win your way to the WAFL Grand Final
In partnership with Seven West Media, Juniper is giving away 25 double passes to the 2026 WAFL Grand Final, with each prize also including a $50 food and beverage voucher.
The competition will run from Monday 31 August to Saturday 12 September, with entries through thewest.com.au/Juniper.
The competition will also be supported across Channel 7, The West Australian, The Sunday Times, PerthNow and Seven’s digital and social channels.
It’s an opportunity for footy fans across WA to share Grand Final day with someone special, whether that’s a grandparent, grandchild, partner, friend or fellow lifelong supporter.
Creating a memorable day for Juniper customers
Alongside the public competition, Juniper will also invite a group of customers to experience the Grand Final with a loved one.
The nominations already being put forward by our teams show just how deeply football can be woven into a person’s life.
There are customers who have followed their club for decades, people with children and grandchildren playing football, former players and coaches, and fans whose favourite footy memories were made alongside their parents and grandparents.
For others, the opportunity could mean attending a Grand Final or visiting Optus Stadium for the first time
While our guests are still to be selected, their stories are a reminder of exactly why this partnership matters.
Russell said the partnership was ultimately about helping people continue doing the things that bring them joy.
“We want older people to keep enjoying the passions and experiences that matter to them, with the people they love. That’s what ‘Keep being you’ is all about.”
The day is also planned to include a special pre-game experience for Juniper customers and their families, bringing them even closer to the action before the game begins.
For Juniper, supporting the WAFL Grand Final is ultimately about creating opportunities for older Western Australians to keep doing what they love, with the people they love.
Because whether it’s going to the footy, cheering for the team you’ve followed your whole life or sharing the experience with the next generation, those moments are part of what makes a life well lived.
Enter the competition from Monday 31 August.
