Juniper CEO Role

Juniper is a leading provider of care, accommodation and support services for older Western Australians, with one of the largest care provider footprints in the nation. It is the largest Non-profit provider of residential aged care services in Western Australia.

As an agency of the Uniting Church, Juniper is a values-driven organisation with a proud history and an annual turnover
of circa $150 million, a workforce of over 1800 staff and 200 volunteers. Juniper delivers residential and home care, retirement living and a range of other health related services across Western Australia.

On behalf of the Board of Juniper, Lester Blades is delighted to invite applications for the position of Chief Executive Officer, with a view to the person appointed commencing in the role in the second half of 2022.

Aged Care has been a challenged sector in Australia over recent years, currently with an extensive reform agenda. For Juniper, this will mean the opportunity for further change and transformation, potentially towards a different model of care and service, and ensuring ongoing financial sustainability. The incoming CEO has a tremendous opportunity to lead this organisation transformation. It could well be the most significant and purposeful work that you ever complete.

Intending candidates for this high-profile role will be able to demonstrate a career characterised by leading and driving growth, innovation and change. You should have been accountable for the success of a large and complex organisation, or division, as well as extensive and respected interaction with Boards and external stakeholders.

Intending applicants must demonstrate the full suite of capabilities expected for a CEO position, including high EQ, strong commercial acumen, analytical and strategic skills, and a commitment to excellence. Juniper seeks to appoint a CEO who is authentic, courageous, progressive and ambitious for their organisation, whilst also caring about and for the people we serve.

Whilst experience in the aged or healthcare sectors will be highly regarded, we are encouraging of applications from successful senior executives with relevant experience from other sectors.
