Multi Skilled Carer Merelita Adimanuqalo at Juniper Guwardi Ngadu said Fiji Day highlighted the importance of family and friends.
“Being able to celebrate this day at Guwardi Ngadu feels just like being at home, and I feel truly blessed to be part of it.” she said.
Fellow Multi Skilled Carer Deepa Ashni said being part of Juniper’s Fitzroy Crossing site felt like home, and the opportunity to celebrate Fiji Day with customers and staff reminded her of being back with my family.
“I genuinely love my profession as a Multi Skilled Carer, and every aspect of this role fills my heart with joy,” she said. “Preparing for this day has been emotional, but I’m so grateful to share it with all the staff, residents, and family members of Guwardi Ngadu.”
At Juniper Numbala Nunga in Derby, Multi-Skilled Care Worker Vasiti Nawaqa said Fiji Day provided a wonderful opportunity to offer everyone an insight into her homeland’s rich culture.
“Fiji Day represents the day we became independent – living in Australia, I feel so blessed to be able to share our culture and traditions with the staff and customers of Juniper,” Vasiti said.
Always keeping things extra delicious at Numbala Nunga, Chef Tagilala Tabua said sharing her love of food by preparing a huge BBQ feast for customers and fellow staff was a great way to celebrate.
“I am happy to be in Australia and celebrating Fiji Day with our Juniper family — both customers and fellow colleagues,” Tagilala said.
Juniper’s Residential Manager Guwardi Ngadu and Numbala Nunga Belinda Storer was over the moon to be made chief on the day and extremely honoured to receive beautiful gifts connected to Fiji’s cultural heritage.
