Celebrating Juniper’s cherished volunteers

Morning teas and thank you gift presentations were held across Juniper sites during National Volunteer Week (NVW) 2025 to acknowledge all the amazing efforts of Juniper volunteers.

Held between Monday 19 and Sunday 25 May, NRW highlights the important role of volunteers in Australian communities and encourages people not currently volunteering to give it a go.

This year’s NVW theme was ‘Connecting Communities’ and Juniper is fortunate to have more than 160 selfless superstars who support customers as activity assistants, bus drivers, pastoral care volunteers and more.

Among the Juniper sites that hosted morning tea celebrations for local volunteers were Juniper Hillcrest in Geraldton, Juniper Riverslea in Mount Lawley, Juniper Karinya in Embleton and Juniper Ella Williams in Noranda.

When it comes to the numbers, Juniper is supported by more than 160 volunteers that range in ages from 19 years of age up to 94. The average volunteer age at Juniper is 67.

Volunteers from 15 countries including Canada, Germany, Denmark, Hong Kong, India, Indonesia, Italy, New Zealand and the Philippines devote their time to others throughout the year.

Juniper’s largest volunteer team of 23 supports customers at Juniper Hillcrest in Geraldton, followed by 12 at Juniper Hayloft in Martin and 11 each at Juniper Chrystal Halliday in Karrinyup and Juniper Waratah Lodge in Wagin.

Thank you to all the incredible Juniper volunteers who make a huge difference to the lives of so many people across WA.
