Celebrating Juniper volunteers

They bring joy, laughter, and companionship to our residents, whether it’s sharing a story, joining a bus outing, or simply offering a kind interaction. Juniper volunteers are at the heart of what we do at Juniper and throughout November and December we were able to officially say thank you in a series of events.

In recognition of International Volunteer Day, Juniper held events across several regional and in Perth to celebrate our wonderful volunteers.

Volunteers received a small token of our appreciation which included a Christmas bauble with the word Hope which was chosen to reflect our core values: Welcome, Courage, Compassion, Respect, and Hope.

“It’s a small symbol of the big difference volunteers make. We celebrate this special day to say thank you for the hope and happiness volunteers bring every time they visit,” Juniper Volunteer Coordinator Helen Docherty said.

“When a volunteer walks through our doors, they bring hope: hope for connection, fun, and friendship and that’s something truly worth celebrating!”

At Juniper volunteers support with a range of activities including  bus outings, one-one companionship, pastoral care, activity support, arts and craft, playing music, singing and more.
