COVID-19 Update Thursday 13 May 2021, 3:55pm

Juniper acknowledges the announcement from the WA Government on Thursday 13 May 2021, that with no new local cases of COVID-19 detected in the WA community, the Perth and Peel regions will return to pre-lockdown conditions from 12.01am Saturday 15 May 2021, as planned. The full update can be read here.

Residential Aged Care

From Saturday 15 May 2021, all Juniper residential care facilities will return to pre-lockdown visiting arrangements in accordance with the Visitors to Residential Aged Care Facilities Directions No 7 (25 February 2021).

We continue to do all we can to protect the health and wellbeing of our residents, staff and volunteers. Before organising a visit to one of our residential care facilities, please read our visiting arrangements, listed here.

Home and Community Care

The health and safety of our clients and staff is our highest priority. We will continue to monitor the COVID-19 situation to ensure our clients are able to access the care, services and support they need.

All Juniper Home and Community Care services will continue as per the pre-lockdown arrangements and masks are no longer required to be worn.

All clients can expect a pre-visit call to check their health and any recent travel.  We also ask clients to let us know if they are feeling unwell so we can discuss alternative options.

In addition, our staff will continue to practice good hand hygiene, reduce unnecessary contact, and adopt other precautions including, for example, wearing a face mask and goggles to protect from cross infection where there are suspected symptoms.

Retirement Living – Perth Region

Thank you to our retirement village communities who continue to respond well to the COVID-19 situation.

From Saturday 15 May 2021, masks are no longer mandatory unless at the airport and capacity limits for home gatherings no longer apply.

All residents are reminded to maintain social distancing protocols, good hand hygiene and cough etiquette, and if you are experiencing any symptoms, please see your GP. Please remember to use the Safe WA App or mandatory contact register at Juniper cafes and community halls.

Thank you

Our sincere thanks and appreciation to all our residents, clients, staff, volunteers and all friends of Juniper for your patience, cooperation and flexibility during these times.  Together we have been able to protect our Juniper community from the spread of infection.  Thank you!

This information will be updated as further information comes to hand.
