At 100 years old Arthur decided to take up a new hobby. “As you get older you need to get a new hobby. I can’t take the ladies out for coffee anymore, so I started making butterflies instead,” Arthur jokes.

Juniper Korumup resident Arthur, now 101 years old, got the idea for the butterflies when his daughter started making them. Since then, he has made hundreds, giving them away to spread colour and cheer far and wide.

Visitors pick them up from the reception at Juniper Korumup Residential Aged Care Home in Albany and taking them home though out the State, and you’ll find them dotted throughout Juniper Korumup.
