Proof of COVID-19 vaccination required to enter WA aged care facilities
Further to WA State Government requirements, from Monday 31 January 2022 anyone over the age of 16 will need to provide proof of a double dose COVID-19 vaccination to enter any aged care facility in Western Australia. This requirement is in addition to the current requirement to provide evidence of your flu vaccination.
Families and other visitors (over the age of 16) wanting to enter a Juniper aged care facility will be required to show proof of their double dose COVID-19 vaccination, either in a digital or paper-based form, along with approved identification (if not using the ServiceWA app).
You are also strongly encouraged to get the booster vaccination. The benefits of a COVID-19 booster vaccine for senior Australians are detailed in the attached information issued by the Australian Government. Being fully vaccinated is the most effective protection against hospitalisation, severe illness and even death from COVID-19.
The updated notification that WA borders will remain closed may seem a relief from the current crisis situation we are viewing in the eastern states of Australia however, COVID-19 is being transmitted in our community today. The best way to protect yourself and those you love is to get vaccinated.
Juniper is committed to protecting the health and safety of our residents, clients, staff and volunteers as our highest priority.
Thank you for your understanding and cooperation.
