Book a tour

Once your selection has been made, be sure to contact us and proceed to book a tour of your preferred location. Discuss with us your lease options - and before signing any contract, seek financial and legal advice, if necessary.

Offer and Acceptance

When you have decided to move to one of our retirement units, and the unit is vacant, make a formal written offer. You are also required to pay a Deposit and Administration Fee to secure the unit.
Once you have paid the Deposit and Administration Fee (and in cases where you have not completed an offer “subject to sale” or with other conditions), after all the conditions have been met, and you have a firm move-in date, Juniper will then prepare the agreement document for you.

Inside, you’ll find standard accommodation including kitchen cupboards and benches, cooker, hot water system, toilet, shower, and bathroom vanity unit.

A typical retirement facility unit will provide:

  • Built-in wardrobe in master bedroom
  • Light fittings – oyster lights throughout
  • Floor coverings – carpet in bedrooms and living area; vinyl in kitchen; and tiles in bathroom
  • Window treatments – vertical or roller blinds in kitchen, living areas and bedrooms
  • Fly screen or security doors on external doors
  • Fly screen or security screens on windows
  • Duress call system with up to two pendant buttons
  • Juniper provides site maintenance and gardening

Juniper Rowethorpe's independent living options include:

  • Ron Wilson House: 16 one- and two-bedroom self-contained apartments with secure residents' parking.
  • Wesley Villas: 20 three-bedroom, two-bathroom detached villas with laundry, and single or double automatic garage.
  • Jacaranda Ridge: 19 three-bedroom villas and 4 three-bedroom townhouse (two-storey) residences, with semi ensuite bathroom, additional powder room, laundry, and single or double automatic garage.
  • Centenary Apartments: 23 two-bedroom + study apartments with semi ensuite, and balcony (upper) or terrace garden (lower).
  • Centenary Cottages: 4 one-bedroom self-contained duplex cottages.
  • Wattle Close: 12 one-bedroom self-contained duplex and triplex cottages.
  • North and South Terrace: 48 one-bedroom self-contained apartments (upper or lower).
  • Rivergum Apartments: 12 one-bedroom self-contained apartments.
  • Rivergum Cottages: 4 one-bedroom self-contained duplex cottages.

Most accommodation at Juniper Rowethorpe is offered as a Lease for Life arrangement, through payment of a part-refundable entry contribution, with an additional fortnightly operating service fee.

Some newer or extensively refurbished units at Juniper are offered under a Capital Share Lease, where the resident shares any appreciation in the value of the unit, during their term of occupancy. Some units are offered as rental tenancies.
