Juniper acknowledges the announcement from the State Government today, that in response to a community case of COVID-19 detected in WA, restrictions will be introduced for a minimum of three days in the Perth and Peel regions, effective from 12 noon Sunday 27 June 2021. The full announcement can be read here.

COVID-19 is highly contagious and protecting the health and safety of our residents, clients, staff and volunteers is our top priority.

Residential Aged Care

In accordance with the State Government announcement, for a minimum of three days from 12 noon Sunday 27 June:

  • All visitors, staff and volunteers to Juniper’s Perth metropolitan Residential Care Facilities must wear a mask at all times.
  • Visitors from the Perth and Peel region who visit Juniper’s regional Residential Care Facilities must wear a mask at all times.
  • A maximum of four visitors per resident, per day is permitted at Juniper Perth metropolitan Residential Care Facilities.

Heightened screening on entry applies to all persons entering our Residential Care Facilities.

Before organising a visit to one of our residential care facilities, please read our Visiting Arrangements, for all Juniper Residential Care Facilities.

For more information, please contact the Residential Manager or Clinical Nurse Manager at your site.

Home and Community Care

The health and safety of our clients and staff is our highest priority. Our Home and Community Care clients will continue to receive their essential services. Our staff in Perth will wear face masks during their visits and will call clients in advance to ask pre-screening questions before attending their residence.

We will continue to monitor the COVID-19 situation to ensure our clients are able to access the care, services and support they need.

In addition, our staff will continue to practice good hand hygiene, reduce unnecessary contact, and adopt other precautions including, for example, wearing a face mask and goggles to protect from cross infection where there are suspected symptoms.

Retirement Living – Perth Region

We remind everyone to follow the current WA Government restrictions.

All residents are reminded to maintain physical distancing, good hand hygiene and cough etiquette, and if you are experiencing any symptoms, please see your GP.

Please remember to use the Safe WA App or mandatory contact register at Juniper cafes and community halls.

Currently no Juniper staff or resident has tested positive to COVID-19.

This information will be updated as further information comes to hand.
